Latest Latte

My local favorite is currently Ground Support in SOHO. I go there almost every day for a smooth creamy soy cappuccino or if it’s hot out an iced soy latte. When I’m not in a hurry to run out, I try to take a few extra minutes to enjoy the coffee in the shop… you know, chat with the staff, catch up on some calls and best of all… people watch. Always some interesting characters in NYC!

Mmm latest latte is a delicious café crème in Paris. So frothy! Rich bold espresso with creamy milk and tons of foam. I sure do miss the coffee in Paris. And the croissants that I usually have with them. Mmmm…

It’s been a little difficult finding delicious good coffee in NY after being spoiled in Sydney. None of that brewed stuff, I’m talking about espresso based coffee. I finally found a local spot on the Upper West Side that has good coffee, Joe the Art of Coffee. Although, it’s not quite like the ones I have in Sydney, it’s pretty close. I give it a 4/5, an extra point for the mere fact that it’s the only good coffee in my neighborhood.

The Gusto I know and love is in Coogee. There are others but the Coogee one will always be my fave. They have delicious rich coffee and really good sandwiches. I hardly make my way down to Gusto now a days since I moved but every once in a while, I find myself in the neighborhood and I must have my soy latte! I give them a 4/5!

Do you ever feel like you just want a half size latte? Well at Cibo in Adelaide you can do just that! Cibo has great coffee and snacks but I love that they have other coffee options on the menu like a macchiatone – a half latte! Perfect size for when I’ve already had a full one in the morning. 5/5 for all coffees!

I go to Le Monde almost 3 or 4 times a week. I make the extra effort to walk there for my morning coffee. They recently switched to a different soy milk which makes my morning soy cap extra creamy. Today I had a the time to sit and enjoy a lovely cup. They know their coffee and even write down what blend they’re using at the moment. I give it a 5/5 for sure!

We had brunch at Buzy Bakehouse in Woollarha. I had a very yummy Italian tasting soy cappuccino. They have delicious sandwiches, pizzas, pastries, bread, gelato, you really can’t go wrong! I give it a 4/5 for the cap and an 5/5 for the tasty foods!

So in Hong Kong they have this drink called half tea/half coffee. I don’t know how to translate it but that’s basically what it is. You would think it tastes different but it tastes exactly how it is: coffeeish and teaish. I give it a 3/5. It’s not quite my cup of tea or coffee or teaoffee?

I buy my bread from Laurent but never thought to try their coffee until now. It was surprisingly wonderful. I noticed they used Vitasoy Calcium Plus soy milk. Delicious and good for me? I give it a 4/5.

Had a soy latte at Bills in Woollarha. It was delicious, especially with their famous ricotta pancakes. I give it a 4.5/5. It didn’t blow my socks off but it still tasted great.
